These words are not meant to teach or show the vibrance of conjuring poems. Neither was it ever intended to stitch in the cosmetics of expressive peculiarity. What they stand for are but the ways in which this one statement unfolds: ‘There are signs for men of understanding’ – as it did for me. All must be lost before all is to be gained, and thus the beginning of the journey towards a complete manifestation of – how the Greeks termed it – ‘Gnothi Sueton’ – meets an untrained mind as nothing but chaos. Tho, all chaos has a pattern to it – as the 19th century physicists too theorized – it is the finding of that pattern that manifests a certain awakening and adds meaning to them which will be mistaken otherwise indeed. It is thus natural to fall for the pessimism that the book seems to offer. Let it not restrict you to its apparent connivance.
